Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address, and browser user agent string for spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you use it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available here. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes publicly visible in the comment context.
Media
If you upload images to the site, avoid including location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from images uploaded to the site.
Cookies
- If you leave a comment, cookies may save your name, email, and website for convenience, lasting one year.
- A temporary cookie is set on the login page to check your browser’s cookie acceptance. It contains no personal data and is discarded after closing your browser.
- Login cookies last two days, and display preference cookies last one year. Selecting “Remember Me” extends the login cookies to two weeks. Logging out removes all login cookies.
